Thanks to @TheOrtonGirlĀ for the following:
As it was announced by Booker T via Twitter, Randy Orton would be joining him on his podcast Heated Conversations to talk about some issues going on with Twitter, the national anthem, and his stance on things going on in the world in general.
Below you can find the highlights from Randy Orton on the podcast:
Randy Orton on going AWOL: āI didnāt have the courage to die for my country. You could see from them [Marines] the courage to die for this country. That they would be willing to risk everything for this country, for our freedom. Thatās why you should stand for the pledge, thatās why you should stand for the anthem.ā
Randy Orton on responseĀ to his tweets: āI tweeted some stuff, and I saw the responses. I went through them. I laughed at a few of them. But thatās their stance man, thatās their stance.ā
Randy Orton on Colin Kaepernick: āI respect what heās kneeling for. I think what heās kneeling for is right. I donāt respect the way heās doing it. The kneeling, I just, I donāt think itās right at all. Iām against the kneeling.ā
For those that missed it, here are the tweets on Kaepernick:
Sneering? More like shaking my head. Courage? Lol riiiight. Courage. Thats what it takes to stand up and fight, not raise a fist. https://t.co/DqQt11cNmS

Americans are dying. Pigment of skin doesn't matter. American people matter. https://t.co/MgUbMiPteM

Randy Orton on the recent issues in Charlotte: āWith the protests, they’re down there for the right reasons. There are people down there who really are down there to protest for the issue. But with that, it gives people the excuse to go down there for the wrong reasons.ā
Randy Orton on America today: āWith all the news accounts and everything I follw on Social Media I see a lot of stuff. Sometimes Iāll be reading through this stuff and have to put my phone away seeing whatās going on. Itās scary man, it really is scary and with all the protesting, the fires, everything that is going on I still believe this is the greatest country on earth. This is the greatest place to live.ā
Randy Orton on being a father (grandfather): āI look at this generation and see everything thatās going on and thinking about the future. I worry about my kids, my grandkids in the future and I worry about what my grandkids may go through. With all the kneeling, stomping, pissing on the fucking (bleeped) flag. I worry.ā
Randy Orton on todayās media: āI pay attention to whatās going on everywhere, like I follow news sites and things like that. But when you look at the media today, even if you look at all of it, trying to find whatās true. You don’t know what Trump is saying is from his heart and if itās real or what Hillary is saying is from her heart and if itās real. Itās hard to decipher everything going on, what to even believe about anything.ā
Randy Orton on the Presidential election: āI mean, this is a clown show. This election man, itās hard. You get what they are saying what they will give you but you donāt know. You donāt know what youāre doing to get and itās scary.ā
Randy Orton on slavery: āSpeaking about it can be hard. Itās hard for me as a white male to talk to people about that issue. Itās hard knowing that had happened and itās scary, it really is. These days, people can judge you for anything you say, you have to be careful talking about that. I donāt know where these people are coming from, people can get on you about that. So you just have to be careful man.ā
Those are the highlights from Randy Ortonās interview on Booker Tās podcast Heated Conversations. Overall a great interview. The interview in audio should be up by tomorrow. Very decent to just sit down and listen to. Much worth it.
