Randy Orton teases (again) leaving WWE

As noted on Thursday night, The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) took to Twitter to pour more fuel on the rumors that they are leaving WWE with Randy Orton in 2020.

Following his viral Instagram post on Monday, Orton is pouring even more fuel on those AEW rumors with another post…this time on Twitter.

For those of you that missed, it Orton posted a photo of himself on Instagram in front of an “Elite Level” plaque and tagged Dawson, Wilder, Elias, Luke Harper, and NXT’s Riddick Moss. The Revival’s contract are due to expire in April 2020 but ten weeks were added to Wilder’s contract due to time he needed to take off due to an injury. Click here to see Orton’s Instagram post.

Today, Orton replied to the recent twitter exchange between Wilder and Dawson where they hinted at reforming their faction with Orton in 2020. Of course, this led to more fans to speculate that they are planning on reuniting in AEW when they are free from WWE deals. Others see these teases as negotiating tactics to get more money from WWE and some believe that Orton plans on staying with WWE and he’s just trolling his followers.

Orton’s latest social media tease can be seen below:

For what it’s worth, even if Orton is just trolling and/or using AEW as a negotiating chip to get more money from WWE, Orton has expressed a fondness for AEW in the past and some of his closest friends work there. 2020 will be an interesting year.

For those of you wondering, the belief is that Orton will be a free agent in June. A couple of years ago during a Twitter exchange with Will Ospreay, he seemingly confirmed that June 2020 is when he’ll be free from WWE obligations.
