Opening segment. The show starts with highlights of last week’s battle royal. Then they cut to the arena and The Shield are in the ring. Dean Ambrose said that you saw something that you never see and won’t see again (all 3 members of The Shield laid out). He said that tonight they’re standing tall in the ring. He said that they want Evolution. Seth Rollins says that they’re not running from Evolution, they are running to Evolution and if they have the guts then they’ll accept the rematch challenge. Seth said that when they show up they will get hunted down. Rollins said that Evolution is real good…they WERE really good because they can’t evolve into what it takes to beat The Shield. Roman Reigns was pacing around. Roman looks into the camera and says that a week ago they victimized his brothers and they bloodied him and triple powerbombed him. Reigns said “is that all ya got?” He said that they have a serious problem and they will teach their brand of justice. He said that they will teach Evolution to believe in The Shield. A limo is shown arriving on the big screen. As soon as Triple H got out of the limo they ran to the back to go after Evolution. Triple H is shown signing paperwork (or a contract). Randy Orton and Batista are there too. The Shield attack them backstage. Evolution got laid out backstage.
Big 6 man later tonight: Cena and The Usos vs. The Wyatt Family
Rob Van Dam comes down for his match against Jack Swagger. Commercial break
Rob Van Dam vs. Jack Swagger – Zeb is in the ring as we come back from the break. He cuts the usual Zeb promo. He talks about his deportation list, specifically Adam Rose. He told Adam Rose to keep his distance. Rose came down with his rosebuds just before the Swagger/RVD match could get started. Swagger took a kick to the jaw and a five star frog splash. RVD wins a quick match thanks to the distraction from Adam Rose. They cut back to the announcers. Cole was making a fool out of himself again trying to show JBL how to dance like Rose and the rosebuds.
They showed a video on Paige, her title win, and highlights of an interview with Paige. She’s up next.
BOLIEVE vignette.
Paige vs. Alicia Fox – Fox says that Paige has managed to alienate all of the divas after just 6 weeks. She said that Paige just doesn’t fit in “so get out.” Fox attacked her before the match actually started. Fox yelled at the referee and said “ask her if she’s ready!” The ref finally rang the bell. Alicia Fox dominated the match but Paige retained. Alicia was furious and flipped the top of the announcers table and threw a drink into the crowd. She left with JBL’s hat. Alicia Fox looked really good here. Hopefully she gets a push.
They showed highlights from the Kane-Daniel Bryan stuff from last week. Daniel Bryan is up next. Commercial break.
Daniel Bryan addresses the WWE Universe – He thanked everyone and said it’s been a long road to get to where he is now. He said that he knew it would all be an uphill battle and the hill is a little steeper than he thought it would be. The crowd chanted “YES”. He said that The Authority threw everyone that they had at him but thanks to the fans “we” beat the odds and he walked out of WrestleMania as World Heavyweight Champion. Bryan said that because of Kane’s tombstone he was in a neck brace but he was determined to beat Kane and he did and his style comes with a price. He said that unfortunately he paid the price with his body and this Thursday he has to go get neck surgery. He said that this has been his dream ever since he’s been a little kid and he said that unfortunately some people (Steph, Triple H, Kane) are happy about it. Bryan said that there’s a chance that his career will be over but it WON”T BE. He said he doesn’t know when he’ll be back but he asked “will I come back?” The fans chanted “YES!”

They showed highlights of the recent events from the John Cena-Bray Wyatt feud. Commercial break.
John Cena and The Usos vs. Wyatt Family – Commercial break before the start of this match. Luke Harper started the match against Jey Uso. Fun match. Cena got the STF on Rowan late in the match but Bray broke it up. Bray was about to hit sister Abigal but one of the Usos broke it up with kick. The Usos dove on Luke Harper and Bray on the outside. Cena hit the AA for the win. Bray grabs the mic and says “thank you John Cena for helping me to realize finally what I must do. Thank you John…and FOLLOW THE BUZZARDS.”
Evolution is up next. Commercial break.
Evolution segment – Evolution comes out to the ring. While they walk to the ring they showed highlights of the beatdown from the start of the show. Orton says he’s had enough and it’s time to take the gloves off and it’s time to kick The Shield’s ass. He said it’s time to put the hounds of justice to sleep. Triple H said that maybe it’s time to finish this thing with The Shield. He said he knows how good they are and it’s why he brought them to the WWE. He said that they got a little too big for themselves. He’s been a little disappointed in them since Extreme Rules. He said the “so called attempt at an ambush” was the last straw. He said it’s gonna end. Triple H said that the rematch at Payback will be different and they will take The Shield apart one by one starting with Dean Ambrose…then Seth Rollins…and Roman Reigns. He said that Reigns will be the one member of The Shield that does not come back from Payback. The Shield attacked while Triple H was talking. Batista grabbed the mic and said he’s had enough. Batista wants Reigns tonight.
They showed a Slam City commercial. Commercial break.
Nikki Bella defeated Natalya. Apparently, Alicia Fox did a storyline where she quit WWE. Details here.
Curtis Axel vs. Sheamus – Sheamus defeated Axel. Ryback challenged Sheamus to a match. Sheamus defeated Ryback the brogue kick.
Stephanie  McMahon segment with Kane/Daniel Bryan – Stephanie asked Daniel Bryan to come down to the ring because she had something tos ay to him face to face. Kane’s music hit. Kane dragged Bryan from the backstage area to the stage and left him there. Medics came out to give him medical attention. Brie Bella came out as well. You could hear the medic say he’s not conscious right now.
Commercial break.
Bryan is put into an ambulance. Brie yells at Steph to stay away. Steph stares off into the distance. We can’t tell if it’s an evil look or if she’s just upset.
Fandango (with Lala) vs. Dolph Ziggler – Layla distracted Dolph and that caused a near fall for Fandango. Layla got tangled in the ring apron. That caused a distraction and allowed Dolph to win. Layla went in the ring and apologized. Fandango grabbed the mic and said that he knows he’s a winner because no woman has made him feel the way she makes him feel. He said that Layla has won something much more valuable…his heart. Fandango said “Layla, I love you.” He then kissed her.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan comes out. He said it’s great to be back in front of the WWE Universe after being in Legends House. Lana interrupts. She did the Russia anti-USA stuff again. Duggan led the crowd in USA chants. She then introduces Rusev. Rusev cornered Duggan in the ring. Lana told Duggan to beg for mercy. Rusev broke the 2×4 over his knee. Lana told Rusev to “crush” but then Big E’s music hit. Â Rusev beat up Big E.
They showed highlights of The Shield-Evolution segments from earlier.
Damien Sandow vs. Cody Rhodes – Damien Sandow is out now. He said that a lot of people are afraid of what he has to say. Goldust an Cody’s music interrupted. Cody won with the disaster kick.
Batista vs. Reigns is next. Total Divas commercial aired.
BOLIEVE vignette. They recapped the Daniel Bryan segments from earlier. Bray Wyatt backstage cut a promo. Sounds like Bray wants a Last Man Standing match at Payback.
Batista vs. Roman Reigns – Reigns came out. They went to commercial break and Batista came out after the break. Things broke down quickly and the referee called for the bell. Stephanie directed traffic and had the heel roster come down to gang up on The Shield. The roster held Roman but he broke free and speared Triple H. Ambrose and Rollins hit everyone with chairs and took everyone out as Evolution escaped up the ramp. Roman hit the superman punch on Heath Slater as Evolution watched from the ramp. Roman speared Ryback. They hit the triple powerbomb on Ryback.
