The Real Reason Travis Scott Never Wrestled In WWE According To Logan Paul

During a recent episode of the Impaulsive podcast featuring guest Joe Budden, Logan Paul shed light on the rumored WWE debut of hip-hop superstar Travis Scott. Reports had previously circulated that Scott was training for a potential match, possibly teaming with Paul, but the plans never materialized on television.

When asked directly what happened, Paul revealed that the plans were concrete enough that a match was scheduled to be announced.

“We were supposed to team up with one other person who was supposed to be a three-on-three,” Paul explained. “And the day that it was supposed to be announced, he didn’t show up.”

The Reality of Wrestling

Paul offered his theory on why the collaboration fell apart, suggesting that the physical demands of professional wrestling may have been a deterrent for the rapper. Unlike Bad Bunny, who committed months to training and living the lifestyle, Paul speculated that Scott might have underestimated the toll it takes on the body.

“I think what happened is… he probably realized at some point that it’s really physically demanding, really hard and a lot of work,” Paul said. “It’s probably too much commitment for someone who is a rockstar of his caliber.”

Paul emphasized that wrestling is largely about “navigating pain,” dispelling common misconceptions about the ring being soft. “I certainly thought that before I got in WWE… When do they bring in the trampoline mat? No,” Paul joked.

Comparison to Bad Bunny

Paul contrasted the situation with fellow music star Bad Bunny, who has earned widespread acclaim for his WWE performances at WrestleMania and Backlash. Paul noted that Bad Bunny’s success came from a genuine love for the business and a willingness to endure the physical punishment.

“Bad Bunny loves it and like put in the time and like became a good wrestler,” Paul stated.

Ultimately, the match that was rumored to involve Scott—potentially against The Usos and Cody Rhodes—evolved into different creative plans, with Paul eventually teaming with John Cena against Rhodes and Jey Uso. While Paul expressed respect for Scott, noting they once shared a moment at a club years ago, he believes the reality of the squared circle was simply too much.

“I would like to see him make a real run at it,” Paul concluded. “But yeah, I think that’s what happened”.
