Real Reason For WWE’s Mysterious Teaser Videos

WWE fans have been speculating about a series of cryptic videos posted to social media over the last few days, with many assuming they were hinting at a new storyline or a major return. However, a new report has clarified the purpose of these mysterious teasers.

According to a report from PWInsiderElite.com, the videos are not related to any current storyline developments. Instead, they are part of a promotional marketing campaign for WrestleMania 42.

Major Names Involved

The report notes that several of WWE’s biggest stars were at the company’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, over the last week to film material for this campaign. The names involved in the filming include Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Brock Lesnar.

There was speculation that the videos were hinting at the possible return of GUNTHER, who is expected to make a return to television soon or Santos Escobar, who is expected to be at WWE Raw tonight. However, that’s not the case. WrestleVotes added that the full promo is expected to be revealed today:

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, 2026. The event will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. This marks the third time the Las Vegas area has hosted the event, following WrestleMania IX and the record-breaking WrestleMania 41 in 2025.
