Reason why AEW star has been absent from Dynamite lately

It turns out that an injury isn’t to blame for Penta El Zero M being out of action. Instead, he’s on the sidelines for a different reason.

Back on the January 20 episode of AEW Dynamite, he was attacked by AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega, Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson. This put him out of action until at least the Beach Break special, which is next week.

Due to him dealing with injuries throughout 2020, there was speculation that he was just injured and that’s why he wasn’t on this week’s Dynamite.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Penta is currently healthy and is out of action due to work visa issues.

Per the report, a body double was used in the injury angle on last week’s Dynamite, so he’s been off TV for two weeks thus far.

Jon Moxley is slated to take his place in the Death Triangle Match on next week’s show where for the first time ever, he’ll team with Rey Fenix and PAC against Kenny Omega, Gallows, and Anderson.
