Asuka had been featured as the top star on the WWE Raw brand since Becky Lynch vacated the title last year due to her pregnancy.
WWE pushed Asuka as a dominant champion and beat all challengers that came her way until she dropped the belt to Rhea Ripley this past April at WrestleMania 37 – Night 2.
She then feuded with the likes of Ripley and Charlotte Flair with their first and title match together taking place at the WWE WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view event.
The WWE star was last seen in action when she worked this year’s Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match that was won by Nikki ASH, who later cashed on to win the Raw Women’s Title.
Asuka has disappeared from television with fans asking questions as to why. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Asuka is fine and “she’s just not being used for anything right now.” It’s unclear when she will be used next by the company.
