Austin Aries showed up at ROH’s big Anniversary show on Friday night and many people were surprised to see him. Not only did he look great in the process but he was also sporting his Impact Wrestling World Championship title.
PW Insider reports Aries was allowed to be at the ROH show because Austin Aries is not under contract with Impact Wrestling and there’s nothing stating where he can work and where he isn’t allowed to venture. A Double did let Impact Wrestling know about his appearance before he did it though and people in Impact thought it would be a good idea and positive for the company even if they’re not currently working with Ring Of Honor.
It’s nice to see Impact Wrestling being so cool about Aries showing up at the ROH show. Perhaps this is a sign of better talent relations management tactics so they can keep as many happy as possible. With this kind of approach, Impact Wrestling could possibly find themselves in a working relationship with more companies in the future including ROH. All of that sounds great unless Impact Wrestling doesn’t get purchased yet again in the process.
