Many fans expected to see Becky Lynch make an appearance at WrestleMania 37 this past April to the point where betting odds regarding this were released and the odds were backing the likelihood of that happening.
The day before the first night of WrestleMania it was reported that WWE had been planning a talking segment with Bayley where Lynch would make a surprise appearance by driving a big truck into the stadium.
Lynch even teased making her return at the show on the same weekend as the event. Obviously, that never happened as Bayley did a segment with THe Bella Twins. Back in May, it was reported that Lynch signed a new deal with the company.
Fast forward to earlier this month, Lynch had been seen training at the Performance Center to get ready for her return to in-ring action. She’s also been backstage at recent WWE shows.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that fans should expect a return of Lynch “relatively soon.”
Meltzer also stated that the reason why Lynch wasn’t used at WrestleMania was due to WWE “waiting for her to sign a new deal, which is now in effect, and because they felt it was too early to debut her before she would be back wrestling.”
WWE might be holding off on bringing her back until they resume live event touring on July 16th.
