One of the big storylines on WWE SmackDown (Bray Wyatt-Daniel Bryan) will not lead to a match on Sunday’s TLC pay-per-view.
Instead it will be The Miz taking on Bray Wyatt (not The Fiend) on Sunday night in a non-title match to make fans think Wyatt could lose the match.. The Miz vs. Wyatt match had been planned since last month and the feud was originally supposed to start during a Miz TV segment but plans were delayed because Wyatt was one of the wrestlers stuck in Saudi Arabia.
Wyatt is still feuding with Daniel Bryan but, as noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision was made to hold off on their rematch and I would assume that they will wrestle at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view next month in Houston.
Dave Meltzer reported that the Wyatt vs. Bryan rematch was delayed for storyline reasons and the idea is to spend more time and deepen the story.
Bryan has input in his storylines including this one so whatever is next will have his fingerprints on it. I’ve heard that they plan on calling back to the time when Bryan was briefly in the Wyatt family back in 2014.
The next chapter of the Wyatt-Bryan feud could play out this Sunday night at the TLC pay-per-view or next Friday on SmackDown as WWE begins the hype for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
