Reason why Shawn Michaels is returning to WWE Raw next week

On this week’s Monday Night Raw, they aired a video featuring several Legends giving their picks for the upcoming Triple H vs. The Undertaker match at Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia. WWE is going to continue the hype for the next several weeks because they are hoping to sell 80,000 tickets. It’s a sold show but WWE’s agreement with Australian promoter Paul Dainty is that they will do everything to promote the show on television.

Shawn Michaels is advertised to return on next week’s WWE Raw and he will talk about the Taker vs. Triple H match. We are told that he is going to be at the Super Show-Down show.

Obviously, he will not be wrestling but his appearance next week could be the set up to get Michaels in the match, perhaps in a special referee or enforcer-type of role just like at WrestleMania XVIII in 2012.

This event is being done in conjunction with the Victorian Minister for Tourism and Major events as a way to help continue boosting the economy so WWE has a major incentive to sell out this show because this could lead to more stadium shows in Australia.

Matches announced so far:

– The Undertaker vs. Triple H
– The Shield will compete
– John Cena and Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens and Elias
– Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz (winner gets a future WWE Title opportunity)

WWE Super Show-Down will air on October 6 and will stream on the WWE Network.
