Former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion Sheamus didn’t appear on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Montreal, QC at the Bell Centre on the USA Network.
His tag team partner, Cesaro, did make an appearance and even worked a match. Thus, it led to fans speculation why Sheamus wasn’t featured on the show.
It turns out that Sheamus is dealing with an unknown injury, according to PWinsider.com. As of this writing, no other details were provided on the exact injury or how long he’ll be out of action.
In the main event, Cesaro teamed up with Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura in a losing effort to WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Kevin Owens in a six-man tag team match. Sheamus was most recently in action when he competed in a six-man headliner alongside Cesaro and Drew McIntyre where they lost to The New Day.
We hope to have more details shortly and will pass along any new information.
