Fans have been critical of the Q&A segments featuring Alexa Bliss, Bayley, and Sasha Banks in recent weeks. The majority of the criticism isn’t being directed at the wrestlers because it’s not their fault that they are being given unrealistic sounding dialogue. The bulk of the writing for the last two weeks has been done by Vince McMahon and all signs point to more awkward dialogue in the weeks and months to come.
WWE has announced that Bliss will be hosting another Q&A segment on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw and it will be in a “press conference” setting featuring Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey hyping their upcoming Raw Women’s Championship match at the TLC pay-per-view.
It seems like Bliss and Baron Corbin are all over the shows in multiple segments and the reason for that is because McMahon is a big fan of them. In the case of Bliss and how management feels about her, Dave Meltzer said the following on Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio: “They are in love with Alexa Bliss. They think Alexa Bliss hung the moon and she can’t wrestle so they just figure that these talk segments get Alexa Bliss on television and get her lots of TV time and they feel that people wanna watch Alexa Bliss.”
Meltzer put over Bliss’ promo work and noted that it’s not her fault that she’s booked in these awkward skits.
If you are a fan of Bliss then that should be good news for you but bad news if you are not a fan of awkward dialogue scripted by McMahon.
