Reason why Xavier Woods was replaced by The Miz on WWE Talking Smack

On Friday afternoon, WWE announced the return of Talking Smack with Kayla Braxton and Xavier Woods as the hosts. However, when the show was taped on Friday night after SmackDown, Woods was not part of it. It turns out that Woods had no idea that he was hosting.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Woods was not told that he would be co-hosting with Braxton so he wasn’t there when the show aired on Saturday. At the last minute, they asked The Miz to be the co-host and Big E was the guest.

Big E was very candid about WWE’s treatment of Kofi Kingston and he brought up how Kofi was squashed by Brock Lesnar after he got a run with the WWE Championship. Big E noted how Kofi was back to being in the mid-card spot he was in before he won the title.

What Big E said about Kofi being buried has been said by people in the company and it is no secret that people in management never truly saw Kofi as a top star. Former WWE writer Dave Schilling noted on Twitter that the people in power did not see Kofi as a top guy.
