James Ellsworth might not be a WWE Superstar anymore but that doesn’t mean he’s done by a long shot. The Chinless Wonder is still making towns wherever he can and recently introduced a new championship title to defend in the process.
Now it looks like Ellsworth is using his status as an indie wrestler to finally make a dream match come to life as well. Since his debut, Ellsworth was compared to Gillberg, a Goldberg parody character who looks similar in some ways but doesn’t have quite the same size as the 2018 WWE Hall Of Fame headliner.
If you’ve wondered what Gillberg has been up to since his WWE release 18 years ago then you should look no further than the indie wrestling circuit. The longest reigning WWF Light Heavyweight Champion is the current IWC High Stakes Champion, but it looks like he’s got quite a challenge.
James Ellsworth recently appeared in a video message during an IWC show and challenged Gillberg for his title. This match will go down on March 17th and hopefully, a lot of questions will be answered. Ellsworth looks like he’s playing heel in this program so you never know what lengths he’ll go through in order to pull down the gold.
Only time will tell how it turns out though, but at least we’ll get an answer to our question of who would win in a match between Gillberg and James Ellsworth.
