If you ran a poll amongst the fans that attended last night's Money In The Bank pay-per-view, I would bet that most of them would vote on Jinder Mahal vs. Roman Reigns being their least favorite match. That match was not well-received by fans and you could hear it when they chanted things that had nothing to do with what was going on in the ring.
If you were watching on pay-per-view then you probably heard these chants:
This Is Awful
Lets Go Cena/Cena Sucks
It's never a good thing to have the fans turn on you during the match but last night was pretty bad and several people backstage, including referee Charles Robinson, were not happy about it. Robinson took to Twitter after the pay-per-view to express his unhappiness with the way the crowd treated Reigns and Mahal during their match.
Robinson said, "For as great a town that Chicago is for wrestling (one of the best ever), it is really disappointing that they can be so disrespectful when guys like @JinderMahal and @WWERomanReigns are busting there butts and giving us a great match."
Robinson later added, "Not really the talents fault how they are booked. Last I heard they don’t book themselves. Just trying to make the best of the situation they are put into. Just talking about the level of effort the talent puts into it."
At this point, it seems like the only thing WWE should do is to turn Reigns heel. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be in their immediate plans. In fact, WWE has tentative plans for Reigns at SummerSlam. If you haven't read the story yet, click here (note: don't click if you want to avoid a possible spoiler).
