Released Superstar Announces Post-WWE Plans

Recently released WWE star Kacy Catanzaro, formerly known as Katana Chance, has announced her next major project. The former Women’s Tag Team Champion has confirmed she is returning to the show where she first made a name for herself, “American Ninja Warrior.”

Kacy Catanzaro Returns To ‘American Ninja Warrior’

In a post on her social media, Catanzaro shared a trailer for the next episode of the popular competition show, which airs this Monday, August 11, on NBC and Peacock. The trailer shows her providing commentary from the sidelines of the course. “See you on Monday,” she wrote in the caption.

An ‘American Ninja Warrior’ Legend

This marks a return to familiar territory for Catanzaro, who became a mainstream star on the show before signing with WWE. In 2014, during season six, she made history as the first woman to complete a city finals course. Her last appearance as a competitor was in 2017 during season nine.

Catanzaro signed with WWE in 2017 and was a popular star in both NXT and on the main roster, where she held both the NXT and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships with her partner, Kayden Carter. The duo was part of a round of talent releases in May 2025.

Catanzaro’s return to “American Ninja Warrior” in a commentary role marks her first major move since her WWE departure, with her 90-day non-compete clause set to expire in mid-August. Fans will be watching to see what the future holds for the former champion. You can view her post and the trailer on her official social media accounts.
