Released WWE Star Is Expected To Have A Lot Of Interest From Several Companies

Isla Dawn has joined the list of talent who have been released by WWE. On Friday, WWE released several superstars, including Cedric Alexander, AOP (Rezar and Akam), their manager Paul Ellering, and Blair Davenport. Sonya Deville was informed that WWE wouldn’t be renewing her deal, which expires later this month.

Davenport made a name for herself in NXT UK before transitioning to NXT, where she won the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge in 2023. In 2024, Davenport was drafted to the main roster, debuting on SmackDown in June.

This seemed like a big break, but her time on the main roster was short-lived, and the company did not use her much. She had a few matches on TV. Most notably, Davenport competed in the tournament for the inaugural Women’s United States Championship but was eliminated in the first round. Her last match was in November 2024.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that there have not been creative plans for her since her call-up. The positive news is that “she is expected to have global interest from many companies.”
