It looks like another released WWE star could be on the way back.
WWE has posted new Braun Strowman merchandise on shop.wwe.com. Strowman was one of the big names released last month as part of budget cuts and it was believed that he was among the top paid wrestlers in the company. His previous deal was signed around the time when AEW was launching and the belief was that WWE was trying to keep talent from signing with them. That mindset has changed somewhat and they’ve been cutting down on the bigger contracts.
It’s not clear if there was interest from Tony Khan but Mark Henry has talked about trying to get Strowman into AEW but there hasn’t been any news on that front since Henry’s comments to TMZ.
Given that WWE doesn’t have a history of releasing new merchandise for wrestlers not associated with the company, it looks like “The Monster Among Men” may be on his way back.
