Released WWE Stars May Have Interest From MLW

Following several WWE releases in May 2025, details are emerging about the future plans for several talents. For Jakara Jackson (now Mara Sadè), some within NXT reportedly knew her release was coming, as “they constructed the creative to split her and Lash Legend.”

This was despite earlier internal conversations about a main roster push for the duo, even as potential tag team champions. Sources within Major League Wrestling (MLW) indicated “there will likely be interest from their side with a few of the women that got released.”

Gigi Dolin, among those let go, has a diverse background, having previously appeared for AEW, wrestled in TNA this year, toured with Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling in 2018, and worked past MLW dates. Meanwhile, Dakota Kai and Cora Jade (now Elayna Black) have reportedly “landed representation in the last couple of weeks.”

The non-compete period for released NXT talent was 30 days, which has now largely expired, allowing them to appear elsewhere. Main roster talent typically have 90-day non-competes.
