Renee Young announced on Twitter that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
She tweeted, “Man. What a few days. My show gets cancelled and I get Covid. Wear your masks and wash your hands. Stay safe, everyone.”
This news comes after it was announced today that Jon Moxley had to pull out from AEW Dynamite because he was in contact with someone who was exposed to the virus.
Furthermore, there was news coming out from WWE tonight about multiple people in the company, staff and talent, testing positive for the virus. PWInsider cited a source telling them that the number of people in WWE that tested positive was somewhere around two dozen.
WWE will continue testing at future tapings but it is clear that Friday’s SmackDown will need to be rewritten with some people not being available for the show.
WWE will no longer invite “friends and family” to the Performance Center shows to act as fans. It is not clear yet how this news will impact night two of AEW Fyter Fest on July 8. Jon Moxley is scheduled to defend the AEW Championship on that show against Brian Cage. Obviously, taking care of his wife would be his number 1 priority.
