WWE broadcaster Renee Young announced on Twitter that she will make a “big fat announcement” this Wednesday.
She did not provide any hints on what that announcement could be. Young has been home recovering after getting diagnosed with COVID-19. Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Young believes that she has gotten through the worst part of the illness and is feeling better. Meltzer also noted that WWE was not thrilled with Young announcing her diagnosis to the public. Click here for more on the story.
Young is one of several people in the company who tested positive this week. WWE did not want word to get out so most of the people who have tested positive have kept quiet on social media. Some have announced their positive results including Kayla Braxton (her second time with the virus), Adam Pearce and Jamie Noble.
Young got some more bad news last week when it was announced that WWE Backstage was canceled as a weekly show but, based on the tweet below, it looks like she’s already looking forward to bigger and better things.
Hey y’all!! I’m so so happy, I have a big fat announcement for everyone on Wednesday! 😋
