Renee Young told to talk less during commentary and to “sit back and listen a little bit”

On this week’s of “Regular Girls” podcast hosted by Renee Young and Stacey McGunnigle, they talk about Peloton, Lori Loughlin getting caught up in the college admissions scandal, the Leaving Neverland documentary and much more.

At one point during the show, McGunnigle read her own horoscope. It says her perception of things might be off and her sense of what to might be incorrect.

Young’s horoscope suggests that she not interrupt or get defensive and it’s better to listen to the other party. She added, “Oooh, that’s not my strong suit. I’m the queen of interruptions.”

She continued, “I’ve been working each week. I work with Tom Phillips. This week I worked with Vic Joseph but we’ll go back and listen to my commentary on Raw or on a pay-per-view or whatever and like dissect it and they’ll give me pointers. It’s extremely beneficial to me. That was kind of the note where like ‘you don’t have to talk as much as you think you need to talk. Maybe just sit back and listen a little bit.'”

Young said that’s not easy for her. She added, “That’s really no easy task for me. I’m so used to being the talker and keeping the ball afloat so when I don’t have that ball to keep it afloat, I think that’s an uncomfortable spot for me and then I end up with diarrhea of the mouth because I don’t have a firm grasp of what’s happening.”

Young continued, “Sometimes I’m not really sure where I’m going. I just keep going until I land on it. But doing commentary, you can’t do that because everything is moving so quick and you’re telling a different story. Keep trying to land on the thing, the thing is gone by the time you’ve actually gotten to where you’re trying to get.”
