REPORT: Bianca Belair Begins Training For WWE Return

Bianca Belair has begun light training and is working toward an in-ring return, according to BodySlam+, though no confirmed return date has been established at this time.

Belair has been absent from in-ring competition since WrestleMania 41, where she suffered a finger and knuckle injury during her match against IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley. The injury did not heal as hoped, ultimately requiring surgery earlier this year. She made a brief non-competitive appearance as a special guest referee at Evolution 2025 during Jade Cargill versus Naomi, but that outing represented the extent of her on-screen presence during her recovery period.

The report from BodySlam+ indicates Belair is now taking the first steps toward returning to competition, with a return described as coming sooner or later, depending on how her recovery continues to progress.

The injury also impacted WWE’s creative plans for WrestleMania 42. Belair had originally been targeted to face Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at the event, which would have been a high-profile matchup between two of the division’s most physically dominant performers. With Belair not recovered in time, WWE pivoted to booking Cargill against Rhea Ripley instead, a match that will now serve as one of the headline women’s championship bouts at WrestleMania 42.

Belair is one of WWE’s top stars, having held the Raw Women’s Championship, the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and the NXT Women’s Championship during her tenure with the company. WWE has not made any official announcement regarding her return timeline. WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
