REPORT: Jimmy Uso drove in excess of 100 mph and came close to hitting another car before DUI arrest

Pensacola, FL TV station WEAR-TV has more information on Jimmy Usos’ recent arrest for DUI and an unlawful speeding citation.

According to the police report from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, an off-duty officer noticed a vehicle driving on Interstate 10 in excess of 100 mph and drifting from left to right going out of its lane.

Later, the deputy saw the vehicle travel close to another vehicle and the deputy was able to verify that the vehicle was going at a speed of 86 mph in an area where the limit was 45 mph.

The report states that Jimmy was asked to show his driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance but he had some issues holding the documents in his hands. Jimmy was said to have bloodshot, watery, droopy eyelids, dilated pupils and slurred speech.

The report also noted that the deputy could smell alcohol from the driver’s side window so he had to ask Jimmy several times to step out of the vehicle so he could speak with him. Jimmy, according to the report, seemed confused when he was asked if he was willing to ride with the deputy to a flat, level and well-lit area so he could conduct a Field Sobriety task.

The report also states that Jimmy asked if he needed a lawyer and then proceeded to take out his phone and point it to the deputy’s face. The deputy placed Jimmy in handcuffs and placed him under arrest for a DUI. The deputy noted that Jimmy became uncooperative and had to be told several times to take a seat in the patrol car.

The deputy also noted that he had to roll down his window will transporting Jimmy because of the overwhelming smell of alcohol that engulfed the vehicle.

WWE issued this statement on Thursday on Jimmy Uso: “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”

Jimmy Uso is scheduled for a court date on August 15th.
