It is now confirmed via multiple reports that the New England Patriots have agreed to trade Rob Gronkowski and a seventh-round draft pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots would get a fourth-round pick.
As noted earlier, Gronk said he intends to return to football but wants to play with Tom Brady. The trade will go through pending a physical.
Gronk’s return to the NFL effectively nixes any plans for him to wrestle in WWE since he would likely not be allowed to do anything that could potentially cause an injury. The plan was for Grounk to wrestle at SummerSlam in Boston, MA.
Gronk was brought in by WWE as the host of WrestleMania and he is the current WWE 24/7 Champion.
