One of the most talented prospects on the NXT roster is leaving the company.
Squared Circle Sirens is reporting that Kacy Catanzaro gave her notice to WWE.
The reason why she decided to leave is that she decided to stop wrestling after suffering a back injury.
Catanzaro signed a WWE contract in January of 2018 and she gained some mainstream press because she was on American Ninja Warrior. Her final match was at a live event on July 19 when she teamed with Lacey Lane to defeat Marina Shafir and Taynara Conti. Her last TV match was in June and it was a loss to Io Shirai.
Before the speculation starts, her quitting the company does not mean that she’s a free agent so she can’t sign with a company like All Elite Wrestling because WWE is likely freezing her contract. The back injury likely means that she is completely done with pro wrestling.
