It looks like AEW may be getting at least one more big name added to their roster in the coming months.
As previously noted, Kevin Owens’ WWE deal expires in January and he has posted things on social media that point to him joining AEW.
Reported Jon Alba reported on the “Living The Gimmick” podcast that people in the company believe that Owens intends to leave WWE.
Alba stated, “in speaking with some WWE sources throughout the day, there is very much an internal belief Owens is gone at the end of his WWE deal. He has dropped multiple hints on social media in the last 24 hours that allude to him being AEW-bound.”
Owens would join the stacked AEW roster that includes several top homegrown stars and former WWE stars such as CM Punk, Miro, Adam Cole, Andrade El Idolo and many others.
Anything can happen between now and January, but all signs point to Kevin Steen making his AEW debut in early 2022.
