WWE is making a change to the NXT Championship belts.
Belt Fan Dan, who has broken past stories about championships, recently noted on Twitter that WWE is going away from having the rainbow colors on the NXT Titles and will be replaced with the old design.
Dan wrote, “Word on the street is the rainbow NXT belts are going to be replaced with the prior non-colored ones.”

The rainbow belts were introduced after WWE relaunched NXT as NXT 2.0 last year before ditching the rebranded vision for something between the old and NXT 2.0. WWE is still pushing younger wrestlers who have no wrestling experience outside of WWE as they had been recruited from college, but there has been more of a focus put on matches instead of promo segments since dropping NXT 2.0.
WWE has also gone away from all of the bright colors of NXT 2.0 and gone back to the black and gold color scheme. The set of NXT 2.0 is still the same.
