REPORT: Ric Flair denies having COVID-19, wife Wendy Barlow is very ill with the virus

The New York Post is reporting that Ric Flair’s wife Wendy Barlow has COVID-19.

The Post says Flair confirmed to them that his wife Wendy has the virus. The article also includes photos of Flair in public not wearing a mask, just days before Flair confirmed that his wife tested positive.

The Post also says that a source familiar with the matter said that Flair already has the virus and tested positive on Wednesday but he is denying the claim.

“That is absolutely incorrect,” Flair told The Post.

“My wife does [have the virus]… we live in a 5,000 square foot home. I live in the basement. She lives upstairs on the third floor and she got sick.”

The Post says Flair hung up on them before they could ask more questions about his Starbucks run but he insisted in a text message that his “health is excellent.”

A source told The Post that Wendy is very ill and Flair is mostly asymptomatic aside from some coughing.

In April, Flair told his Facebook followers to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. It’s not clear how Wendy got the virus but Flair has been appearing on WWE Raw shows at the Performance Center in recent weeks.
