In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported on the situation, following up on a previous Fightful report about Danhausen’s contract. “There are those in WWE into that gimmick, including Dwayne Johnson, who was a big fan of him when he first started making his name,” Meltzer wrote.
An Uncertain AEW Future For Danhausen
It was recently reported that his AEW contract, which was set to expire, was extended into 2026 due to the time he missed with an injury. The report also claimed that this extension was “apparently against his wishes,” as he has been used sparingly by the company.
