Much has been discussed about whether The Rock will be at WWE WrestleMania 41 after he returned earlier this year. He originally planted the seeds to do the Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania XL in January before plans changed.
Rock pivoted with a heel turn and alliance with The Bloodline. It set the stage for Rock and Reigns to beat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL night one. Since then, Rhodes and Rock have publicly teased doing a match at WrestleMania 41.
For months, it has been believed that WWE still plans to do Rhodes vs. Rock at WrestleMania 41, with the idea of doing Rock vs. Reigns at a later date. Rock’s last appearance came at Bad Blood in October.
It had been reported that Rock wasn’t scheduled for WrestleMania 41 next April and gave word he wouldn’t be able to do the match. Rock later responded in an Instagram comment on his post, noting, “Don’t believe any of that bull****.”
Chris Featherstone, who has broken past stories, reports that WWE has opted to move forward with its creative plans as if The Rock will not appear at WrestleMania 41. The plans can change at any time, and WWE is definitely interested in using him if he becomes available.
Sean Ross Sapp followed up with a tweet noting that, ultimately, The Rock can do what he wants, but Featherstone’s report is accurate.
#WWE has decided to move forward in creative plans as if The Rock will not appear at #WrestleMania 41, as of now. I have been informed that these plans could "change at any moment," and WWE is definitely interested in using him if he becomes available, but he is not currently… pic.twitter.com/O0iolqhHuf

I see a bunch of people posting The Rock's Instagram comments from months ago in his replies.
He's the Rock and ultimately he can do what he wants, but this post is correct and has been for quite a while. https://t.co/QbCwbC6b8S
