Although it was reported today by WrestleVotes that original plans for WrestleMania have been scrapped, it looks like the card has finally been locked in.
Ringside News reports that everything was locked in this week with no major revisions. The conflicting reporting coming out this week likely has to do with information being restricted more than usual by management.
WWE has cracked down on the flow of information coming out and very few people in the company outside of management have been told about future plans. It was noted last week that people on creative were told to clear things with management (McMahon and Bruce Prichard) before sharing plans with talent. This is being done to crack down on information leaking out.
RSN cited a tenured creative team member saying that things are on a “need to know” basis and the card is definitely finalized. So, while things may have been changing last week, McMahon apparently made up his mind within the last few days.
