REPORT: WWE Concerned Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed Would Get Babyface Reactions

There was reportedly internal concern within WWE about how fans might react to Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed following their attack on Seth Rollins two weeks ago on Raw.

According to a tweet citing a source, WWE personnel expressed worry that Breakker and Reed could receive unintended positive reactions, essentially being cheered as babyfaces despite their actions aligning them as heels alongside Paul Heyman.

This reported concern is said to have directly influenced a creative decision on last week’s episode of Raw. The source indicated that the potential for babyface reactions “played into the decision to exclude them from the Battle Royal on #WWERaw last week.”

That battle royal was held to determine who would face CM Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event. Jey Uso ended up winning the match and will now face Punk for the vacant title.

The title was relinquished by Seth Rollins due to a significant shoulder injury sustained during his match at Crown Jewel. Jey Uso ultimately won the battle royal. He is expected to be sidelined for several months.
