The Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast (part of the Wrestling Observer website family) is reporting that WWE is going to move NXT from Wednesday to Tuesday nights.
The move essentially means that the war with AEW Dynamite is over. The move is not totally unexpected because there was plenty of speculation about NXT moving nights when news broke in January about the NBC Sports Network shutting down and NHL games on Wednesday moving to the USA Network later this year.
Dave Meltzer confirmed on Twitter that there were discussions on February 24th about the show moving to a different night but nothing was final as of that date. Apparently, a decision has been made and an announcement is expected soon. The Mat Men podcast noted that the show will move to Tuesday on April 13.
This is obviously great news for AEW and it should give them a boost in the ratings. This would be bad news for Impact Wrestling on AXS TV unless they choose to move their show to a later timeslot or a different night.

This was definitely a topic of discussion in WWE quarters on 2/24, but at least at that point it was not final. https://t.co/r8QoVhyAgR
