REPORT: WWE Raw Averaging Over 6 Million Hours Viewed Per Week On Netflix

According to a report from Variety, WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” has been a consistent presence on Netflix’s global Top 10 English-language TV charts since its move to the streaming platform on January 6.

Viewership Metrics

The week of July 7 marked the 27th consecutive week that “Raw” has been in the global Top 10. The report states the program is averaging approximately 6.3 million hours viewed per week, which translates to just over 3 million views per week according to Netflix’s measurement system.

The show has also performed strongly in key international markets. The report notes that “Raw” has made the Top 10 list in Canada for 26 weeks, in the United Kingdom for 23 weeks, and in Mexico for 22 weeks. The article also mentions that in the fall of 2024, “Raw” on USA Network averaged 1.65 million viewers a week, but notes the difficulty in making a direct comparison due to different measurement systems.

Executive Commentary

Both WWE and Netflix executives commented on the show’s performance. “Netflix has been amazing, in every sense of the word. They are phenomenal partners,” said WWE chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. “And we can’t say enough about WWE fans. They’ve shown up in full force, as passionate and engaged as ever.”

Gabe Spitzer, vice president of sports at Netflix, also commented on the partnership. “It’s everything we could have hoped for and more,” Spitzer stated. “We knew going in that we’re not going to change WWE. It was more, how can we add to it in small ways, and that’s what we’ve seen so far.” Spitzer added, “[WWE’s] distribution has been pretty fragmented up to this point, and the hope was ‘Let’s combine the power of what you guys do with the power of what we do with our global distribution… and try to lift this.”

Future Outlook and Premium Live Events

The report noted that WWE’s other programs, SmackDown and NXT, still air on USA Network and The CW respectively in the United States and WWE’s premium live events (PLEs) stream on Peacock domestically, All of this content airs on Netflix internationally.

The article notes there is speculation that Netflix will become the new domestic streaming home for WWE’s PLEs once the company’s current agreement with Peacock expires in March 2026. This would align with Netflix’s other live sports and event programming, which has included an NFL doubleheader and the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match.
