An interesting name is in New York City for this weekend’s AEW tapings at Hammerstein Ballroom. AEW will host Collision there on Saturday and Dynamite on Sunday in addition to tonight’s ROH Final Battle.
Fightful Select reports Bandido is in town after he recently had vignettes air for his return. He has been medically cleared for in-ring action.
Bandido has been sidelined as he went down with an injury while working a match that aired in June 2023 on a Rampage episode in a loss to Konosuke Takeshita in a singles match. Bandido underwent surgery and had reportedly been getting close to making an in-ring return until his return was pushed back because the injury didn’t heal properly, and
Bandido needed to get another surgery. The original hope was he would be back in April. Things took longer, with a previous update in August noting he hadn’t been cleared, but he should be soon.
