Returning WWE stars expected for ThunderDome restart

With WWE hyping the debut of the ThunderDome from Orlando, Florida at the Amway Center all week, fans are pretty excited to see what WWE can do from the new hosting site.

The company held a test session on Thursday that allowed fans to participate. As a result, photos of the set were released and looks pretty cool.

It’s also been reported that spirts are high in WWE with the company moving from the Performance Center to an actual arena although they still won’t have fans actually in attendance for shows.

WrestleVotes sent out a tweet on Friday that noted WWE is viewing this time as a restart and that fans can expect to see a return or 2 in addition to some new storyline ideas. The following was sent out:

“Heard that throughout the weekend, WWE has things planned that are “different but pretty cool”.  They are treating this ThunderDome as a restart of sorts. Expect a return or 2 along with some new storylines ideas.”

WWE officials view this new era as a way to turn around ratings for both Raw and SmackDown. Although SmackDown has stayed steady for the past few weeks, Raw has still seen a drop off in its ratings especially in the third hour.

Our own Paul Davis reported that Vince McMahon seemed more upbeat at the recent creative meeting. Also, there is speculation among some people in WWE that Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns could be back soon.

Although not confirmed, perhaps the tease of a return or 2 mentioned above could involve those names.
