WWE Superstar Rey Fenix made a special appearance at Ringside Fest 2025 to speak with fans and reveal his newest action figure. During the interview, the conversation turned to his brother, Penta, and the possibility of the two reuniting as a tag team within the company. Fenix did not shy away from the topic, expressing his strong desire to see the Lucha Brothers ride again.
“I don’t know when, I don’t know how… but I feel in my heart and I know when that moment happened, the the Tag Team division… It’s going to the space,” Fenix said. “And I know… whole war is waiting for it just just a little more.”
“Best Tag Team In The Universe”
Fenix spoke passionately about his relationship with his brother, noting that they have wrestled together for nearly 19 years. He emphasized that their bond and chemistry set them apart from every other team in history.
“In my opinion, my brother myself, we are the best tag team in the universe,” Fenix stated. “We are very different. That’s why we we are the best tag team.”
Targets Dominik Mysterio
Aside from tag team aspirations, Fenix also has his sights set on a singles goal involving a current champion. He expressed interest in facing Dominik Mysterio, citing the “Dirty” one’s treatment of his father, Rey Mysterio, as a primary motivation.
“I watch him… all the dirty things he’s doing with my brother,” Fenix said, referring to Rey Mysterio as his brother in spirit. “So yeah, I have to do something for the family.”
Defining Moments Figure Revealed
The event also saw the debut of Fenix’s first Mattel WWE Defining Moments action figure. The figure commemorates his match at WrestleMania where he replaced an injured Rey Mysterio. Fenix was visibly moved by the reveal, calling the match the highlight of his career.
“Just like… now I see the picture… It is like, a little mirror,” Fenix said upon seeing the figure. “It’s just a really great one of my favorite moments in my career, just in this long 19 years as a wrestler. I think WrestleMania is my number one… I have no words.”
