Rey Mysterio was among those in action on the Money in the Bank fallout edition of WWE Raw this week as the company builds towards SummerSlam.
Rey did so when he teamed up with Zelina Vega against Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio in the main event, where the heels went over. After they celebrated in the ring, Rhea Ripley returned to television after being sidelined with an injury a few months ago.
Over a year ago at WrestleMania 39, the father and son had their first match in their long program with the WWE Hall of Famer going over in a singles match. Since then, Rey and Dominik have continued to feud on and off again.
WWE Stats noted on Twitter that Rey worked his 33rd TV match since being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. As a result, he has broken the previous record set by Jerry Lawler for most TV matches by an inducted member of the WWE HOF.
When the bell rings tonight, it’ll be @reymysterio’s 33rd time competing in a televised @WWE match since his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
This breaks the record of 32 set by @JerryLawler for most TV matches by an inducted member of the WWE HOF. #WWERaw @ZelinaVegaWWE
