Rhea Ripley made history at this year’s WWE Royal Rumble event by becoming the first woman to enter the bout as the first entrant and win the entire match. She also earned the Iron Woman record after spending over an hour in the ring.
Fans noticed that Ripley may have suffered a knee injury in the bout, something she has confirmed.
While speaking at the post-Royal Rumble presser, Ripley confirmed she suffered a dislocated knee injury. However, she popped it back into place, which now seems to be okay.
“I’m obviously beat up. My knees aren’t very good in general, so my knee did dislocate for a second, and then it went back in. But I’m feeling good now, and because of all my emotions, I’m just excited, so I’m blocking out everything else. If anything, I can smell blood in my nose, and that’s definitely there, but my knee is good,” Ripley stated in the first opening minutes of the press conference.
Ripley has earned a championship match of her choosing at WrestleMania 39, whether that be against Raw’s Bianca Belair or SmackDown’s Charlotte Flair.
