Rhea Ripley On Jade Cargill Match: ‘People Have Wanted This Since She Came To WWE’

Rhea Ripley is not just focused on winning at WrestleMania 42. She also wants to make sure Jade Cargill walks away proud.

Speaking on Sneaker Shopping ahead of their WWE Women’s Championship match, Ripley made no secret of her intentions while expressing genuine respect for what she hopes the bout will deliver for both of them.

“This is such a big match that people have wanted since she came to the WWE, and we finally come to it at WrestleMania 42. With her, I want to go out there and I want to give her a good match. Whether she wins or loses, because let’s be honest, I’m going to take her championship at WrestleMania 42. It’s going to happen. It’s Rhea bloody Ripley’s show. I’m going to take their championship. But I want her to be proud no matter what the outcome is,” Ripley said.

Ripley earned her title shot by winning the women’s Elimination Chamber match earlier this year. The rivalry between the two has been one of the more heated buildups heading into the show, with Cargill enlisting Michin and B-Fab while Ripley brought in IYO SKY as backup.

Ripley challenges Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship on night one of WrestleMania 42 on April 18 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
