Former ECW Champion and current WWE Superstar Terrance “Rhyno” Gerin won the Republican Primaries in his bid for Michigan’s 15th District House seat on Tuesday night. Gerin won with 1,033 votes. It was a tight race with opponents Paul Sopphiea coming in at 979 votes and Richard Johnson at 705 votes.
Gerin’s campaign slogan is “I’ll Fight For You” and one of his key issues during his campaign has been about the closing of Dearborn, Michigan’s public pools.
He flew into Nashville so he could appear in a backstage segment with Heath Slater on Tuesday night and he is scheduled to wrestle on next week’s Smackdown Live so his plate is full between his wrestling commitments and his political career. Check out Shane Douglas’ endorsement video below:
