WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has shared a positive and welcome update regarding his recent health battle. “The Nature Boy” announced on social media Tuesday that he is now cancer-free.

Ric Flair Announces He Is ‘Cancer Free’

In a post on his Twitter/X account, Flair shared the great news with his fans and thanked his medical team for their care.

“Thank You Academic Alliance In Dermatology! I’m Now Cancer Free! WOOOOO!” Flair wrote.

A Recent Health Battle

The announcement comes just over a month after Flair confirmed in an interview with PEOPLE that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer for the second time in three years. Before he was ready to share the news publicly, he had initially denied reports that he was dealing with the illness. This recent battle is one of several significant health issues Flair has dealt with in recent years, including a major health scare in 2017 that saw him placed in a medically induced coma.

Flair’s positive health update is welcome news to the wrestling world. While he has had his share of health battles since his final match in 2022, his family’s legacy continues to be a focal point in WWE. His daughter, Charlotte Flair, is a multi-time Women’s Champion and recently competed for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at the Evolution premium live event.
