WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has publicly responded to a viral video featuring Roman Reigns, calling the Tribal Chief’s actions a massive sign of respect. In a video released by Fanatics on social media earlier this week, Reigns played a game where he had to stop the interviewer when they named a wrestler who is “better” than he is.
Reigns placed himself above current top stars, including Bronson Reed, Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, and Drew McIntyre. However, when Ric Flair’s name was mentioned, Reigns finally stopped the game, refusing to rank himself above the 16-time World Champion.
The gesture did not go unnoticed by the “Nature Boy.” Flair took to X this morning to express his gratitude for the acknowledgment. “Thank You For The Respect @WWERomanReigns!,” the 76-year-old icon tweeted. “This Has To Be The Biggest Compliment I’ve Received In Years!”
This respectful exchange comes off the heels of a chaotic Survivor Series for Roman Reigns. He competed in the men’s WarGames match last weekend, where his team ultimately fell short. Reigns’ squad lost after a mystery man—widely believed to be the returning Austin Theory—interfered to help Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar secure the victory.
The Premium Live Event concluded with visible tension between Reigns and his teammate Cody Rhodes as Reigns said he would never team with him again. WWE reportedly has future plans for the two working together again.
