Ric Flair is a strong believer in the possibility of fans seeing The Undertaker work one more match.
The Undertaker was last seen when he beat AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36 earlier this year. Due to COVID-19, the event had to be moved from a full stadium with fans to the empty Performance Center although the Boneyard Match was considered to be a cinematic bout.
The Undertaker stated in his Last Ride documentary that he’s content with retirement, but is willing to come back if needed by Vince McMahon.
According to Flair while speaking with Inside The Ropes, the WWE Hall of Famer believes Taker will work one more match.
“I thought The Last Ride was fabulous—there’s not a finer man that has ever been in our business and I’m looking at that from every possible aspect. But I think he will be back. I think he wants it and I think the fans deserve to see him go out in front of 80 or 90,000 people live. I think he needs to wrestle again once we get this COVID under control and I would think it will be at ‘Mania.”
Flair thinks if WWE tries to run WrestleMania 37 next year with fans then he thinks Taker deserves one more match.
“I thought the match was great with AJ, but I could see him and AJ going at it again inside the ring. And I’m sure AJ would jump off the top of a building to get back in the ring with him.”
Undertaker will be returning to WWE next month at the Survivor Series show.
