Ric Flair did an interview with the Metro UK ahead of the fifth and final episode of The Undertaker’s docuseries, Undertaker: The Last Ride, which is slated to air this Sunday on the WWE Network.
During the interview, WWE Hall of Famer spoke about the future of the former WWE Champion in addition to what could be his last match.
The Undertaker’s most recent match took place against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in the highly praised Boneyard Match that closed out the first night of the show that was spread out over the course of two days.
Flair started out by noting how when he first found out that Taker would be wrestling Styles at the show, he knew that Styles was the perfect guy for Taker.
This is when he compared Styles to fellow WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
“[Styles is] the closest guy to Shawn [Michaels] in our business right now, and it’ll be everything and more because AJ gets it. He wouldn’t be out there trying to have a wrestling match, he’d be out there to enhance this phenomenal character that’s a once in a lifetime entity in this business. I hope to have the rematch because that’s the match. That to me – I wouldn’t miss it and I don’t think anyone else would. I just feel like it’s not done yet.”
Flair also talked about his belief that Undertaker would work another match and more. Check out the full interview here.
