Last week, it was announced by Scout Comics that Ric Flair would be at New York Comic Con on October 9th and 10th and that there will be an “exclusive book launch.”
However, Scout Comics has deleted all Ric Flair references from their social media accounts.
The deleted tweet announcing Flair last week read: “Exciting News! • The Nature Boy RIC FLAIR will be at New York Comic Con on Oct 9th & 10th! There will be an “Exclusive Comic Book Launch” that you won’t want to miss! #NYCC #RicFlair #FitermanSports 👉Booth #2637! @ScoutComics @RicFlairNatrBoy @NY_Comic_Con”
Flair has received a ton of backlash over the last few days after Dark Side of the Ring aired their episode on the infamous 2002 Plane Ride from the Hell.
During the documentary, flight attendant Heidi Doyle said that Flair, while naked and wearing only his robe, cornered her in the galley of the plane. There were also unflattering stories told about others including Brock Lesnar and Scott Hall.
Tommy Dreamer was indefinitely suspended from Impact Wrestling after he seemingly backed up Flair’s actions as harmless. Dreamer later issued an apology.
Flair’s Car Shield commercials were pulled from the airwaves on Tuesday and it’s looking like he may not make his AEW debut as had been strongly rumored since his WWE departure.
