WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair joined The Wrestling Inc Daily podcast to talk about a wide range of topics including his daughter, Charlotte Flair.

Charlotte beat Rhea Ripley to win the NXT Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 36 - Night 2 on Sunday in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center on the WWE Network.

Some fans think Flair holding the title, which is on the third brand of the company, is a demotion for her. The reason for this belief is due to her being a top star on the main roster in the women’s divisions on both Raw and SmackDown where she has held both titles numerous times.

The legendary star doesn’t see it that way.

"It doesn't matter. What was good about that match was that it could have gone either way. It automatically put Rhea in the discussion as one of the better wrestlers. Rhea performed at a high level. But Ashley is there to lend maturity, to feed and to take all the things that Rhea could give her," said Flair. "They pulled it off and you can only imagine the reaction if there would have been a live crowd."

Flair continued by asking who is the best wrestler, has the best looks and best presentation. He thinks it comes down to who can perform the best. He brought up how fans can’t compare any other talent to his daughter.

Flair also talked about the safety measures that WWE is taking with running shows amidst the coronavirus outbreak, wrestling in an empty arena, and more. You can check out the full interview here.
