Ric Flair incident in Boston earlier today

UPDATE: TMZ reports that witnesses told them that Flair was “having a tough time” and “shambling about.” However, Airport Police Sgt. Donton tells TMZ that Flair was not intoxicated.

Flair’s agent Melinda Morris Zanoni released the following statement:

“Ric has been working every day around the clock, including internationally, for a month straight and has injuries on his hand that were being looked into this morning.”

“While it is true Ric Flair and his buddies have been keeping airport bars in business since the 70s that was not the case at all in Boston. I just hung up with Ric, he is already on the flight and all is good.”

ORIGINAL: There are multiple reports from fans in Boston saying that Ric Flair was detained police at the airport for disorderly conduct on Wednesday morning. Flair was allegedly too drunk and fell on his face before getting on the plane so he was not allowed to board. He was in Boston for Tuesday night’s Smackdown tapings in Manchester, NH. One fan noted to us that Flair was spotted at Lucky’s Lounge in the airport prior to this incident.

I noticed marks on Ric’s face on Monday’s Raw as well so hope everything is ok with the Nature Boy.

We should note that Flair was never arrested and he was held at the airport so he could take a later flight back home to Atlanta. For those that know Ric, he was likely up partying late last night after Smackdown and this type of stuff has been par for the course for the Nature Boy over the years.

Ric’s podcast co-host posted an update and said that Ric is doing ok:
